Sublette County Commissioners' 2007-2008 State of the County Report
Welcome to the Sublette County Assessor's Office Website

This site has been prepared by the Sublette County Assessor's Office to help Sublette County property owners better understand the functions of the Assessor's Office and provide them with information on Tax Relief Programs, how their property is assessed, Personal Property forms, and much more.

It is the statutory duty of the Assessor's Office to locate, identify, and value all taxable property (real and personal) in Sublette County as of January 1. We are mandated and prescribed by state law on how and when we perform our assessments.

The County Assessor does not establish the dollar amount of taxes, nor does the Assessor bill or collect taxes. The voting taxpayers, county commissioners, state limitations, and assessed values determine the tax rate for each district in the county. Billing and collecting taxes are the responsibility of the County Treasurer. Building permits are issued by the Sublette County Planning and Zoning Office and the Towns of Pinedale, Big Piney, and Marbleton.

The Sublette County Assessor's Office can provide you with a great deal of property information including maps and legal descriptions. The Assessor strives to value properties accurately, fairly, and uniformly according to guidelines from Wyoming Statutes and the Wyoming Department of Revenue.

The goal of the Assessor's Office is to assist the taxpayer in an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly manner. We strive to provide accurate information and will always make the service we provide to the citizens of Sublette County our top priority.

If you should have any questions regarding the value of your property or the valuation process, the Assessor's Office is always ready to assist and serve you.

GIS Mapserver
This interactive map of Sublette County with extensive search capabilities has layer control, including aerial photos, subdivision lines, and more. You can zoom in on a specific area by dragging a box over the area.

The Search Button button is the search tool. You can search by owner last name, street name, subdivision, or account number. The search engine is not case sensitive and you do not have to type the full street, owner last name, or subdivision name. If searching by PIDN Account Number or Tax ID, do not use hyphens. Click here for an explanation on what those numbers mean.

The Info button button pulls up information on individual parcels, including name and mailing address of owner, deed information, legal description, and total roll acreage. Just click on any parcel or drag a box over any number of parcels.

The Assessor makes every effort to produce the most accurate information possible. No warranties, expressed or implied, are provided for the data herein, its use or interpretation. All data is subject to change.

Address Request Form
The Assessor's Office assigns numbered street addresses outside the town limits of Big Piney, Marbleton, and Pinedale. If you are not within a town's limits, you need this form to get a numbered street address. NEITHER the power company NOR the phone company can assign you an official street number. If you live within a town's limit, contact that Town Hall.
